Not all of us have upgraded to an HDTV. Some of us are still getting some value from their old Analog CRT televisions. I’ve seen many still in use in schools and corporate offices. With the right equipment, you can still use many modern devices with an analog CRT including Chromecast. If you wish to get Chromecast up and running with a non-HD television, here’s how it’s done.
- If you don’t have one, purchase an HDMI to analog converter.
- Connect the Chromecast to the converter.
- Connect the converter to the RCA connectors on the analog TV.
Note: Ensure that both the Chromecast and converter box are connected to power sources.
With this setup, you should be able to use your Chromecast with that old TV just fine.
