Users of the Amazon Fire TV remote mouse sometimes doesn’t work properly. The report may not type properly or scroll as expected. To solve this issue, give these steps a try.
Fix 1 – Disable USB Debugging
- From “Settings“, scroll down and select “System“.
- Select “Developer Options“.
- Toggle “USB debugging” to “Off“.
Fix 2 – Use Mouse Toggle
- Open “Settings” > “Device” > “Developer options“.
- Set “Apps from Unknown Sources” to “On“.
- Open the Silk web browser app from your Fire TV and go to this link to download the Mouse Toggle for Fire TV app.
- Once installed, open the app and turn the “Enable the mouse service” and “Auto start the mouse service on device start-up” to the “Off” position.
- Select “ADB Settings“.
- Wait about 5 seconds, then toggle those two settings back “On“.
Hopefully one of these solutions work for you. Let me know in the comments!
