Are you feeling like watching a movie, but don’t really want to spend any money? Thankfully, there are many options for streaming movies for free. Here are the best options.
Crackle is owned by Sony, and provides free ad sponsored shows and movies. Many of the movies are 5 to 15 years old and aren’t exactly award winning flicks. But there are a few gems.
Crackle also has a a few original programming options as well.
Google Play + Opinion Rewards
If you have an Android, download and install the Google Opinion Rewards app. The app will periodically ask you to fill out a survey for which you will get paid in Google Play Store credit. Once you build up enough credit, you can use it to purchase or rent any movie in the Google Play Store library.
This service run by WalMart not only sells almost any movie ever made, you can also choose to watch ad supported movies for free. You will however need to create an account to access them. You don’t have to provide a credit card.
That’s right! IMDB not only provides detailed information on movies, they actually have free movies you can stream for free directly from the site. Their selection quality is not exactly up to what you would find on Netflix. But you’ll find plenty of movies to make fun of. A great selection for a night of riffing MST3K style.
Tubi is yet another ad supported streaming site. This is my personal favorite ad supported option as the ads don’t seem so prevalent as they do on Crackle.
Pluto TV features over 100 live channels with a familiar program guide interface.
