Shield Android TV users have reported that the Vudu Fandango app opens randomly by itself. The annoyance is frustrating for folks who just want to enjoy watching other content on their Android TV.
After dealing with this problem ourselves, we found a solution that should get users back to running normal and prevent the Vudu app from opening on its own.
- Open Settings ⚙️
- Go to Apps > See All Apps.
- Select Vudu Fandango in the list.
- Select Uninstall Updates.
- Select Clear Data.
- Select Clear Cache.
- Select Disable.
These steps should solve the problem once and for all. Vudu Fandango should no longer open randomly.
