Fire TV/Firestick: How to Remove Apps From Recent

The “Recently Used Apps” section on the Home screen of the Amazon Fire TV/Firestick can help you quickly find apps you use all the time. But sometimes an app you will never use gets stuck on the list. Remove apps from recent using these steps.

  1. Use the remote control to highlight the app you wish to remove.
  2. Press the ≡ button on the remote. A menu appears on the lower-left portion of the screen.
  3. Choose “Remove from Recent“.
